I’m really glad that I found an option better than the stinky godaddy. I didn’t want to support a company (like GD) that has raunchy ad campaigns. GD also supports immoral websites and registration.

While working with another client, I encountered 1and1, and I’m really excited about it. They have cheaper domains, better email services, cleaner design (wahoo) and free private registration. Yeah, I’m sure I sound like an ad. But this is something I’m sincerely excited about. Every time I needed to register a domain, I begrudgingly entered the web address. Now, I’m gleeful in my hosting opportunities. I’ll stop raving now, but you should check them out.

There are many podcasts on the linked page, but of special note is the innovation leader Timothy Brown of IDEO. Its an excellent listen and study. This video podcast really makes me want to rearrange my workspace to be more conducive to collaborative efforts.

I love the concept of innovation. Ideas often come from connecting one form of stimulus to another unexpected concept. And the connections or rather division between web and video are quickly becoming blurry. Maybe we’ll call it wibeo or veb. A great example of this concept can be found on the Nike Air (More Air, More World) ad campaign.

In actuality this combination of interactivite video is not very difficult to accomplish. But it is very nicely executed. As a matter of fact, if you think about it, this is much like a video game where you have a character with a changing background.

A while ago (when I was developing a portion of a site for Fort Knox) I needed some help on filling out a form in Flash and sending it to PHP. Almost all of my variables were text variables. But I had a few check boxes in the form. I didn’t know how to properly pass checkbox variables to PHP. I looked for help but couldn’t find it anywhere. After finally piecing together various tutorials I successfully completed the form. I’m sure this is second nature for some people. But it wasn’t for me.
